Dog-on-dog violence is a real issue, but it’s one that often flies under the radar. Unlike dog attacks on people, these incidents rarely get reported or tracked, so the true scope of the problem is hard to grasp. But for those who’ve experienced it, the impact is undeniable. My dog Mookie was one of the victims—his life was taken in a violent, unprovoked attack by two other dogs. It’s heartbreaking, and it’s not just my story. There are countless others like it, but because these cases are so often ignored, nothing changes. That’s why I created Mookie’s Voice—to bring attention to this issue and push for real change.
